William Morris Sixth Form

Are you ready to start a new chapter in your life?
I've been  in your shoes a couple of years ago. Indecisive of my school choices,  whether I study near my house or go to a mixed school since I've previously went to a girls school, too many questions in my head that I couldn't find an answer. And then… I've found the perfect school, it was William Morris Sixth form.
There are so many characteristics that I like about William Morris. The main one is that it has a multicultural and diverse student population, it contains a wide range of different ethnic backgrounds these include African, Middle East, Asian and more. This means that you will find a group in WMSF where you will feel comfortable with and they will help you with any problems that you might have during your stay in the Sixth Form, necessarily the groups are not separated by the student’s ethnicity. Like the students from this generation say; my squad includes Middle East, African and South American people we teach each other about our culture, religion and language so we don’t only learn about our subjects that we are studying but also about each other’s life. Some of the students come from a family of low income, WMSF offers help to students that need support in difficult times. In William Morris a student have access to a free meal and each term they are given a particular amount of money that should be used to purchase school supplies. Students in WMSF have a good behaviour in both lessons and around the school site as well a positive attitudes to learning.

Let’s talk about WMSF’s performance and ratings, based on the Ofsted results WMSF was they described WMSF as a good school with outstanding features in both 2010 and 2013. Ofsted stated that WMSF is a good school because all students are valued regardless of their backgrounds, teaching and learning is equal for all the pupils thanks to that all students achieve high levels of success. WMSF offers a wide range of courses; this allows students of all different abilities, needs and interests to be successful.

When it comes to students results we have an excellent status and  we are getting closer and closer to achieve the best results in comparison to the other sixth forms. We have achieved an outstanding percentage of student passing their A level and BTEC,overall 67% pass rate in A levels and 100 % pass rate in BTEC. Not many sixth achieve a 100% pass rate in BTEC and more than 50% of students achieve distinction and distinction stars. Our results are very impressive.

Overall, I think that you are the only person that has to make the choice, I'm just writing this blog to give you an idea of how amazing William Morris is to the students and how it differs from other sixth forms. Good luck and best wishes for your future.
